The new zone is 70 kilometers away from Ningbo Port, and 148 km to the north of Shanghai Port. Container terminal of Ningbo Port is the most ideal transshipment port of ocean containers. With a total of 147 routes, it is one of the international container terminals of the 6th generation with best facilities in China; Shanghai Yangshan Port is located in the estuary of the Yangtze River, which is the port with most container lines, dense schedule and wide coverage. Shanghai Port and Ningbo Port are also the most important supporting ports for the modern industry and logistics in the north of Hangzhou Bay.
Airlines. With the traffic circle of 1.5 hours centered at the new zone, there are four international airports with international airlines (Ningbo Lishe International Airport, Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport, Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, and Shanghai Pudong International Airport) and the first-class air conditions, which are able to provide enterprises with the most efficient transport services. The freight transportation system from Ningbo to the mentioned four airport customs has been established and introduced high-end airline company to set up agents.
In 2013, the new zone has planned general aviation industrial park of 12 square kilometers. The industrial park is located in the northeast of the district, about 5 km away from Hangzhou Bay second channel. The industrial park mainly includes an airport and a number of industry layouts. According to the preliminary planning, the new zone will strive to develop the general aviation industry to an industry of billion-level within 10 years and develop it to be a state-level aviation industry area of state-level, operation node of corporate aircraft of Shanghai, Hangzhou and Ningbo time and the social service insurance base of Zhejiang general aviation.
Highway. At present, the expresses connecting Hangzhou Bay New Zone to Ningbo, Cixi, Yuyao are Shenhai Express, Luan Express, Huchong Express and east outer shroud etc. Shenhai Express has three exits of Hangzhou Bay New Zone (Cixi), Andong and Xinpu. The Yu-Ci connecting line is in construction and the express alone the north line of Hangzhou Bay is in plan.
Railway. In addition, Hangzhou Bay Bridge connecting Shanghai and Ningbo has been included in Medium and Long-term Development Plan of Stare Railway (2010-2020) ", and the Line 3 of the rail transit of Ningbo from downtown to Hangzhou Bay New Zone has been planned and will start its construction recently.
Road situation in the new zone in 2014.
