April 26 this year was the 24th World Intellectual Property Day. At the recently held Ningbo Patent Transformation and Application Special Action & Intellectual Property Financial Empowerment Conference, the construction of the Patent Industrialization Navigation Service Base was officially launched.
It is reported that the construction of the Patent Industrialization Navigation Service Base is an innovative measure taken by Ningbo to implement the special action of patent transformation and application. It relies on the Ningbo Hangzhou Bay New Materials Research Institute, with the Qianwan New Area as the pilot, focusing on the field of new materials. Supported by scientific research teams and researchers led by multiple academicians, it implements patent navigation projects, conquers key core technologies, incubates high-value patents, promotes patent industrialization, and assists in the cultivation and construction of a billion-level new functional materials industrial cluster.
On that day, the Ningbo Fotile Kitchenware Co., Ltd., the Ningbo Xingye Shengtai Group Co., Ltd., the Ningbo Fonne Rare Earth New Materials Co., Ltd., the Ningbo Physis Technology Co., Ltd., the CECS Semiconductor Co., Ltd., and the Ningbo YMAT Co., Ltd. signed patent industrialization navigation intention projects with the Ningbo Hangzhou Bay New Materials Research Institute, focusing on enhancing efficiency and empowering the three new material fields of metal new materials, magnetic materials, and electronic information materials, so as to further promote the transformation and application of intellectual property patents in the Qianwan New Area. At the same time, the "Aerospace Equipment Structure" patent industrialization project led by the Ningbo Hangzhou Bay New Materials Research Institute has been selected as one of the top ten typical cases of patent transformation and application in the Ningbo City, playing a demonstrative role in the patent transformation and application.
In recent years, the agglomeration effect of innovative resources in Qianwan has become increasingly prominent, and the driving force for the transformation of innovative achievements continues to burst out. The Fotile Group, which focuses on the research and development and production of high-end kitchen appliances, boasts tens of thousands of authorized patents domestically and holds the largest patent pool in the kitchen appliance industry. Driven by leading enterprises, as of 2023, the total number of effective patents in the Qianwan New Area reached 27,701, the total number of trademarks 9,839, and the number of provincial-level trade secret demonstration stations 5.

On this World Intellectual Property Day, the Market Regulatory Administration of the Qianwan New Area, in collaboration with the Fudan Science and Technology Innovation Park and the Digital Economy Industrial Park's Brand Guidance Service Station, held an online "4.26 You Click and Me to Speak" special lecture, having online discussions with enterprises on difficult issues related to foreign intellectual property and providing them with answers and explanations. At the same time, they have collaborated with major banks to provide precise one-on-one services for enterprises, implementing intellectual property pledge financing policies, and enhancing the ability of enterprises to apply and transform intellectual property.
